Houston resident Elizabeth Francis is the oldest person in the United States after turning 115 years old on Thursday.
Francis was born in 1909 in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana.
Some of the historic moments she has seen during your life include both world wars, the introduction of color television, and the first-ever moon landing.
In addition, 20 U.S. presidents have been in office during her lifetime.
Francis lives with her 94-year-old daughter.
Worldwide, there are only three people older than Francis. Two of them are 116 years old, the other is 117.
