Eva Amurri was not amused by people calling her low-cut wedding gown “scandalous.”
Daughter of filmmaker Franco Amurri and actress Susan Sarandon, Amurri is a lifestyle blogger.
On Saturday, she married chef Ian Hock at Windrift Hall in the Hudson Valley of New York.

She shared a photo of herself and her husband from the wedding on Instagram Stories in response to criticism of the gown she had chosen.
The newlywed then shared a close-up of her cleavage from the same image on social media, along with the words, “Feel free to screenshot this for later,” and an emoji of a kiss.
She wore a Kim Kassas-designed corseted, strapless, bustier-style gown from Bridal Reflections in New York City. “I wanted to feel sexy but elegant, and I think the dress strikes the perfect balance,” Amurri said to People.
Her mother’s decision to wear a low-cut garment when she presented the In Memoriam segment at the 2016 Academy Awards ceremony was compared to her choice of cleavage-baring attire.
Wearing a black push-up bra underneath an open, wide-lapel white blazer, Sarandon looked stunning on the Oscars red carpet. Later, Piers Morgan tweeted that Sarandon’s attire for the solemn occasion was “horribly inappropriate.”
Is Susan Sarandon going to wear this to a burial? No.
For an In Memoriam homage, it was therefore egregiously improper. tweet.com/hMoGChJY8D

After her wedding, Amurri also made time on Monday to give a sincere letter and reply to the criticism. Even though it rained, Amurri described the day as “magical” and added, “We were surrounded by so much love.” For us, the day seemed to go by in slow motion. Our families joined together to create a blended bubble of love and memories that was flawlessly imperfect.
She went on to talk about her three kids, who she shares with her ex-husband, former Los Angeles Galaxy soccer player Kyle Martino, and her new husband. Her Instagram post said, “Ian, Marlowe, Major, and Mateo: I am yours forever.”
“Being a part of the four of you makes me happier than anything else,” she said. “And to my enchanted spouse: you have fulfilled my greatest desire. This is the beginning of forever!
The couple had a small, low-key wedding with a French garden party theme. “We wanted to write our own love letters to each other to read as vows, which was so special for us,” Amurri said to People. It was ideal that we had no bridal party other than the children.
