Kathie Lee Gifford‘s ex-boyfriend Richard Spitz is having no trouble moving on in the wake of the breakdown of their relationships, according to reports. Radar Online say that the Nashville-based businessman was recently photographed in the company of a mystery blonde woman, while Gifford yet struggles to come to terms with their breakup.
Spitz’s rumored date is said to have worn a black, sleeveless dress, while Spitz himself donned a gray t-shirt, white pants and a black belt. One image obtained by Radar Online revealed the pair walking through a parking lot full of vehicles. A second showed Spitz placing his hand on the woman’s arm. 70-year-old Gifford and 62-year-old Spitz are said to have dated for three years prior to their breakup earlier this year. Back in March, Radar reported that Gifford had been left heartbroken by her and Spitz’s separation, though an insider claimed that the former’s children, Cody and Cassidy, believed the relationship was totally “one-sided”.
The source said: “They have a routine — she buys and delivers to him, lunch and dinner, they go to their favorite gym which she pays for, and he will visit at night but will never stay over. “Her children and close friends and family are heartbroken that she continues this toxic relationship with this man who they say treats her horribly. Cassidy and Cody do not approve of the relationship and want her to move on with her life so she can meet someone who will love and cherish her.” Another insider is said to have spilled that Gifford remains distraught that things with Spitz didn’t work out as planned.
“She may say she and Richard are still good friends, but she’s so disappointed it didn’t work out,” they said. “She would have married him and would have proposed if he didn’t. But they wanted different things. She still feels jilted. Now she’s feeling sorry and moping and doing too much. Frankly, people around her are tired of the same sad old song.”
Further saddening reports detail how Gifford was recently hospitalized after she suffered from a fall during her recovery from hip replacement surgery. The television personality told the media she had suffered from a fall which led to her fracturing her pelvis in two places.
“It didn’t take much, because I was weak in that spot,” Gifford said of her fall. “The next thing you know, I am back in the hospital with a fractured pelvis, the front and the back. That’s more painful than anything I went through with the hip. The pelvis is unbelievably painful.”
“You think you know your body and the next thing you know, your body changes when you get older,” the former anchor for the Today show added. “As much as I don’t wanna think about it, I am.”
