One of Australia’s most successful stars has turned 56 today.

Kylie began her celebrations at midnight, sharing images from a chic photo shoot where she donned a black mini-dress with exposed shoulders and a layered tulle skirt.

The “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” singer also shared nostalgic childhood photos. One black-and-white photo featured a curly-haired girl with adorable freckles smiling at the camera, her hair neatly braided into two pigtails. Another, in color, showed a girl with voluminous loose hair in a brown sundress with white polka dots, captured in the yard of a suburban Melbourne home holding a bouquet of garden flowers.

The two-time Grammy Award winner paid tribute to her closest family members—parents Ronald and Carol, younger brother Brandon, who works as a cameraman in Australia, and younger sister Danni, an Australian singer and TV presenter. “It’s my birthday! Thank you mum and dad. You guys are the best! Thank you to my brother and sister. You guys are the best too! Celebrating with you. And thank you for all the beautiful messages from all over the world. I love you guys so much,” Kylie wrote, adding a heart-shaped emoji.

Kylie’s birthday comes on the heels of news that she plans to extend her stay at the Voltaire Hotel in Las Vegas. She has been performing 20 concerts there from November last year through May 4. Impressed by her performances, venue owner Michael Gruber offered her a lifetime residency at his expansive entertainment complex, according to the Daily Mail.

“Michael is very fond of Kylie and doesn’t want to lose her. This is the first lifetime residency, allowing her to visit as her schedule permits. Usually, venues secure stars for a fixed period to ensure exclusive live performances. But with Kylie, Michael sees this as the path to something extraordinary, and he proposed she consider the offer,” an insider revealed. Minogue has enjoyed an incredible year, highlighted by the success of her hit “Padam Padam.” She recently released her sixteenth studio album, “Tension.”
