Slim Shady might be gone, but Eminem is back
Eminem’s new album has been labelled ‘the best album of the decade’ by fans of the rapper after his latest music was released today.
Titled ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’ the release is the legendary rapper’s 12th studio album and fans think it’s some of his best work yet.
The album features 19 tracks including already released singles Tobey and Houdini, as well as a sequel to his 1999 hit Guilty Conscience with Dr Dre which Billboard ranked highly saying, “it’s not the original, but is a worthy second coming”.
In his latest release, Eminem’s alter ego, Slim Shady, is killed off as the artwork on the album cover shows Shady in a body bag.
Meanwhile in the music video for Tobey, Eminem takes a chainsaw to him, symbolically putting an end of the iconic character.
Fans have been raving about the 51-year-olds newest instalment on social media with many calling the album one of the best of the decade.
One user said: “Eminem is the greatest of all time.”
While another wrote: “Headphones on, listening it to, not one skipped song!”
One more persons said: “Fr he’s the goat, this album settles the debate to me”
The album is expected to be a deep dive into the psyche of Eminem‘s notorious alter ego, Slim Shady that explores themes of rebirth, inner turmoil, and resolution.
The track list was unveiled by Apple Music on July 10, just two days prior to the album’s release.
The rapper from Saint Joseph, Missouri, is one of the biggest artists of all time selling 220 million records.
However, for fans of the musician, they’ll have to wait to see his latest music live as the rapper is yet to announce any tours or concerts in the near future.
