Could Drag Me to Hell 2 finally be happening?
Drag Me to Hell star Alison Lohman has confirmed she will be making a comeback to the acting world sometime in 2026… and her fans are convinced it’s for a sequel to her 2009 horror classic.
This comes after director Sam Raimi teased that Drag Me to Hell 2 would possibly be happening back in early 2023 during a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything).
Raimi said then: “The team at Ghost House Pictures: Romel Adam and Jose Canas, are trying to come up with a story that would work and I’m anxious to hear if they do!” Although updates on the development of a potential Drag Me to Hell 2 script have been scarce since the director’s initial tease, Lohman’s latest tweet has sparked fans into believing it’s finally happening. “DMTH2?” one asked.
Another added: “I think we need Drag Me to Hell 2: Crawling Out of Hell!”
“Drag Me Out of Hell?” another suggested.
Lohman starred alongside fellow stars such as Justin Long and The Nun‘s Bonnie Aarons in the original 2009 horror flick, which went on to earn an impressive $90 million at the box office on a $30 million budget.
It has since become somewhat of a cult classic in the horror world, with the majority of its loyal fan following expressing their desire for a sequel to be announced.
Although the sequel has yet to officially be announced, it’s widely expected after Raimi’s initial tease that a story will eventually be found… that is if it hasn’t been found already.
You never know, maybe fans will get an update during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
Drag Me to Hell 2 has yet to announce a release date.
