It’s not uncommon in the Hollywood industry to have whole families in the limelight.
From the Beckhams and the Kardashians all the way through to Susan Sarandon and her daughter or Catherine Zeta-Jones and her daughter – it’s clear the phrase ‘the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree’ is most definitely the case for a bunch of celebrities including Billie Eilish.
Fans of the 22-year-old ‘Ocean Eyes’ singer have since been left in complete shock after discovering she has famous mum who once made a cameo appearance in a massive 90s show.

The episode of Friends, titled ‘The One Where Joey Loses His Audience’, sees Maggie portraying Casting Director 2, while Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc) auditions in front of her.
Mum ran over after saving her baby
The scene shows Joey losing out on a role he needed in order to pay for his medical care due to a painful hernia.
The pain means he can’t lift the product, instead suggesting: “Or I could just point to it? Blah, blah, blah Purina One. Point to a bag today.”

The clip has since resurfaced across social media with many fans of both the TV show and the singer in total disbelief at the unexpected crossover.
Many have since rushed to Instagram to share their reactions with one writing: “HOW DID I NEVER NOTICE WHAT.”
“HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS,” echoed a second while a third revealed: “I literally just watched this episode and now feeling annoyed that I didn’t notice this.”
“I didn’t know that! How funny!!!” quipped a fourth.
A fifth chimed in: “OMG NOOOOO FREAKING WAY?!!!!!!!! WHAT? I AM GOBSMACKED!”
“WHEN I SAW HER IN THE SERIES WAS SHOCKED,” admitted a sixth whole a seventh piped up: “HOLY SH*T I THOUGHT SHE LOOKED FAMILIAR!”
“I never knew this and I’m on the last season,” chirped an eighth while another added: “Hooooly sh*t!!! That’s why the first time I saw the show, I thought I knew her! Wow!”
And a final Instagram user wondered: “So Billie is a Nepo Baby?”
Now, that’s an entire new conversation altogether.

Billie recently shared with fans a rare insight with her with ex-boyfriend Jesse Rutherford, 33, amid cheating claims.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, the ‘Lunch’ hit-maker confirmed that she and The Neighbourhood frontman remain on good terms.
“That’s my guy, truly one of my favourite people in the world,” she said.
As for her current relationship status, Billie added: “I plan on never dating again. That’s not true, obviously.
“But no, I don’t see myself being serious with anyone until I find someone that really feels right to me, and that is not interesting to me right now.”

Fans of Billie Eilish are freaking out after learning her mum featured in perhaps the most well-loved sitcom of all time back in the 90s.
22-year-old Billie released her much anticipated album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, back in May.
It received widespread critical acclaim and cemented Billie as one of the greats, following up from the huge success of her past tracks including ‘Bad Guy’ and ‘What Was I Made For’.
It seems fans can’t get enough of Billie, whether they’re obsessing over her very sapphic love song ‘Lunch’ after coming out in April, or meticulously keeping tabs on her love life.
She recently opened up about her split from 33-year-old Jesse Rutherford, amid cheating claims.
She said at the time: “That’s my guy, truly one of my favourite people in the world”, so safe to say there’s no bad blood.
It seems the Billie-mania has extended beyond her personal life and now encompasses the lives of her family, too.

But in the most dramatic turn of events, Billie’s brother, Finneas, also commented.
He said: “Ah yes, the classic, 1 day of work on 1 episode of friends to make someone rich and famous – the whole gag of this video is none of you had any idea at all who she was.”

Another day, another nepo baby discourse – and this time, Billie Eilish fans are stunned to learn that her brother, Finneas O’Connell, was in a popular 2011 film.
Billie stans are hungry for all of the information they can find about the Oscar-winning singer, her love life and her family following the widespread success of her album earlier this year, Hit Me Hard and Soft.
It seems all of Billie’s loved ones are getting the background check of late, with a post going viral about the fact her mum, Maggie Baird, appeared in an episode of the most well-loved sitcom of the 90s and 00s, Friends.
The episode Maggie features in is called ‘The One Where Joey Loses His Audience’, and sees her playing the part of Casting Director 2, while Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc) auditions in front of her.

The gag is that he has an extremely painful hernia so can hardly move – but needs the job in order to pay for the medical care.
The pain ultimately means he can’t lift the product as the casting process requires.
Instead he suggests: “Or I could just point to it? Blah, blah, blah Purina One. Point to a bag today.”
The clip, which was posted to Instagram, attracted a sea of comments calling Billie a ‘nepo baby’ – a term short that is short for ‘nepotism baby’ and refers to a successful child of well-established, famous or influential parents with industry connections.

In other words, the famous child in question got ahead due to having the parents they have.

A quick look at the cast list for comedy film Bad Teacher, shows that Finneas did in fact make an appearance alongside Cameron Diaz, where he played the role of Spencer.
One person wrote: “Fun fact: finneas was also one of the kids who had a minor role in the cameron diaz movie ‘bad teacher’! both finneas and maggie had small roles as extras on diff shows/movies.”
Someone quickly came to the siblings’ defence, writing: “thankfully billie and finneas have parents who listened to what they wanted in life and let them do it.”
Beyond his extra role in the movie, he appeared in titles such as Life Inside Out, Modern Family, and Glee, among others.
His main gig is being a singer-songwriter, though and he’s credited as a songwriter on the Oscar-winning song from the Barbie soundtrack, What Was I Made For?, alongside Billie.

Imagine waking up one morning, reaching across your bed-side table, checking your phone and opening Instagram only to discover that your No. 1 celebrity has added you to their ‘close friends’ list on Instagram.
Well, such is the mind-blowing reality for a lucky batch of Billie Eilish fans today, who have been left mind-blown after receiving access to an array of exclusive clips and pics posted by the nine-time Grammy-Award winning singer.
That’s right, a very select few of the ‘What Was I Made For?’ hitmaker’s most-adoring 115 million followers have seemingly be added to the elite social media ‘Story’.

If you’re unfamiliar with the concept of ‘close friends’, the picture-sharing Meta site allows you to use different levels of sharing content.
And if – like 22-year-old Billie – your account is public, then you’ll be able to create a special edition list of followers, with whom you’ll be able to share your private content.
And the chart-topper has done just that, today sharing her first ever snap with her ‘close friends’.
The hotly-debated shows a hand in front of the night sky, with a set of eagle-eyed viewers noticing the little green label at the top of the image, telling them that they’d been added to her list.
She also went on to share a snap of a brand new tattoo she’d received.
Within a matter of hours, the hashtag #billieeilishclosefriends was trending on Twitter, with hundreds of users taking to the social media app to question why and how exactly they’d been added.

Sharing a screengrab online, one fan teased: “Mom: why is billie eilish at your wedding??’ me: that’s my bestie.”
A second went on to share a snap of YouTube icon Trisha Paytas eating with a cardboard cut out, comedically captioning it: “Me and Billie Eilish after she added me to her close friends.”
On another GIF of Peaky Blinders actor Cillian Murphy winning his Oscar at this year’s ceremony, another captioned it: “How I feel after seeing myself in Billie Eilish’s instagram close friends.”
A fourth joked: “Opening instagram and pretending that billie eilish personally put me on her close friends list.”
The exciting news comes just days after Billie shared a response to a handful of Taylor Swift fans, who believed that she’d thrown shade at the country-pop star.

In case you’re not caught up the celeb goss, Billie recently did an interview recently with Billboard where she opened up about her thoughts on sustainability, appearing to fire a shot at Taylor.
“Some of the biggest artists in the world making f**king 40 different vinyl packages that have a different unique thing just to get you to keep buying more,” she hit out.
Billie went on: “I can’t even express to you how wasteful it is. I find it really frustrating as somebody who really goes out of my way to be sustainable and do the best that I can and try to involve everybody in my team in being sustainable.”
Fans believe this could have been aimed at ‘Love Story’ singer Taylor, being that she put out several different slightly tweaked physical and digital versions of her new albums too following her falling out with Scooter Braun.
And after coming under fire from a group of Swifties, Billie this week clarified that she wasn’t pointing to any particular artists with a lengthy Instagram statement.
