Sid Wilson, who is the Slipknot DJ, got into a scary incident this weekend, which ended up causing him to land in the hospital.
Wilson, whose wife is Kelly Osbourne, is now angry that the musician even put himself in harm’s way in the first place.
Wilson was badly burned on his face and arms. He shared videos of his hospital trip which medical staff worked on his injuries.
His wife Kelly Osbourne was in the ER along with the toddler the couple share. Kelly was unhappy and posted an Instagram story about how she was upset with her husband for being so careless.
Kelly had a child in her lap, as she mused out loud in her story, “This is why you don’t f**k with burn piles. He literally set himself on fire and exploded everything.”
There were medical professionals working on Sid at the time, which added to the dramatic scene.
Sid was sure to assure his fans that things looked worse than they were. He said he would do his very best not to miss Slipknot’s upcoming tour in September, when the band has 10 shows planned.
The first show is in less than a week. The musician has said he is going to be ‘OK’ in a video of himself from his hospital bed.
“I had an explosion in my face,” he said. “I’m OK, I’m going to be OK. But I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms.”
Wilson shared he was also getting his chest X-rayed to ensure he had not inhaled flames from the fire.
He suffered from singed eyebrows, a mustache, and a blistered mouth and arms, all of which he showed off in a video.
“I’m going to be all right you guys. I don’t care what it takes, I will see you on tour,” he stated.
He revealed to fans that he was being transferred to a special facility and was “doing pretty good” and in “good hands.”
He explained that he had burned himself from the remnants of a bonfire that had been lit and burned the night before at his farmhouse.
Slipknot also released a statement saying, “Our brother Sid Wilson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body. He’s recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend. He thanks everyone for the well wishes, and will see you all soon.”
