Kathie Lee Gifford shares health update after undergoing major surgery

Speaking candidly, Kathie Lee Gifford recently had “total” hip replacement surgery.

The former Today co-host revealed how she discovered the hard way that recuperating from a significant surgery would not be simple.

“One of the most painful situations of my entire life,” she described her rehabilitation as.

Gifford, 70, went to a doctor after experiencing pain for some time, and the doctor thought that her back was the source of her discomfort.

She told Today, “They had been searching for the issue in my spine.” “I was in such excruciating pain by the time they eventually discovered what it was.”

She was scheduled for a hip replacement after medical professionals determined the cause of her suffering.

“After telling me the procedure went well, my doctor asked me, ‘Kathie, how have you been living all this time?’” Some of the worst hips I’ve ever seen were on you.

Gifford thought her recuperation would be “easy,” but it was anything but a stroll in the park—she was off her walker in two days and quit taking her prescriptions in three.

Before her doctor told her, “Kathie, no,” she acknowledged that she had been walking, climbing, “carrying books around,” and even playing with her grandchildren. You must acknowledge the seriousness of this.

This has taught me that there are limits to what you can accomplish. You’re only a human. You’re only a human. I’m really appreciative,” she said to People.

Gifford’s doctors indicated that her active lifestyle was the reason why her hips were “down to the nubs.” Despite the fact that it required a total hip replacement, Gifford stated she has no regrets.

“No, I was carrying out my divinely assigned duties here on Earth. I carried out the tasks he assigned me each year.
