The multiverse keeps expanding! A fresh rumour suggests Henry Cavill
Known for his portrayal of Superman, is suiting up for a Marvel role – but not the one fans might expect.
According to reports, Cavill could be taking on the mantle of a Wolverine variant in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie.
This casting news, stemming from GiantFreakinRobot and other industry insiders, has sent the internet into a frenzy.
While details are scarce, the rumour suggests Cavill will portray a Wolverine from an alternate universe, potentially sporting a long brown coat – a classic look for the character.
This wouldn’t be Cavill’s first brush with superhero stardom. He previously donned the cape for DC’s Superman in Man of Steel and subsequent films.
The movie, which is confirmed to feature several characters from separate Marvel timelines, will feature Wade Wilson being confronted by the TVA which will result in Deadpool being unleashed.
The official synopsis of the movie states: “After some professional disappointments and an ongoing midlife crisis, Wade Wilson now sells used cars.”
